Joe graduated with his doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Washington in 2009. He continued his education further by completing a residency in orthopedic manual therapy at the Ola Grimsby Institute while working in Seattle. He moved to Montana in 2011 to work in a rural outpatient clinic in a small farming community. Desiring to move back to the Northwest, Joe and his family moved to Eugene and began work at Physical Therapy Services in July 2014. He is a Certified STOTT Pilates Instructor with a rehabilitation focus. He also incorporates Therapeutic Neuroscience Education to help individuals with chronic pain and chronic pain syndromes.
Joe has worked with a variety of orthopedic conditions with patients ranging in age from 10 years-old and up. He has worked with diverse conditions including recovery from motor vehicle accidents, work injuries, surgeries, and helping individuals with chronic pain syndromes. He is also experienced working with athletes with sports injuries. Joe believes that patient education is an important element in recovery. The best path to recovery, he believes, is one which the therapist and patient work together as partners.
Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, twin daughters and his dog Mugsy. He also enjoys various activities such as snowboarding, surfing, reading, and basketball.
